Describe a geometry.

That's the best way to communicate it to the computer.

A line, eight feet long.

It's the north-west corner of my house.

We can build on this.

Another line, the same length, parallel to the first one, one inch away from it, with the end points also one inch away from the end point of the first line. A more precise description: draw a measuring line from ..........

in the case of the first geometry it was a line between two points, the first named top, the second, bottom. the two points are eight feet apart.

now from the top of the first line draw a measuring line one inch long, perpendicular to the first line, and from the bottom of the first line draw a measuring line one inch long, parallel to the measuring line from the top of the first line.

my mission is this: to convince people that a better way to input model data in cad would be to describe the model - the objects being modeled - to the computer, in words.
